Glycinorm Od 30 Tablet is used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes as part of a programme that includes diet and exercise. It is a single-ingredient sulphonylurea containing gliclazide in a modified-release (MR) form.
Good control helps reduce the long-term risk of kidney, nerve and eye damage. Take it with breakfast in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and do not skip meals, as this can cause low blood sugar.
Eat meals at set times, keep portions of rice, roti and sweets controlled, stay active and check your blood sugar regularly.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Learn the signs of low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) and how to treat them, and use sun protection, as this medicine can increase sensitivity to sunlight. Report frequent episodes of low blood sugar. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
