Glycinorm-M 30 OD Tablet is used for managing blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to support glycemic stability and overall health.

Glycinorm-M 30 OD Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Gliclazide (30 mg): As a sulfonylurea, gliclazide stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin. It works by binding to the sulfonylurea receptor on pancreatic beta-cell surfaces and blocking ATP-sensitive potassium channels. This action depolarises the beta-cell and opens voltage-dependent calcium channels, leading to an influx of calcium ions that stimulate insulin secretion.

• Metformin (500 mg): Classified as a biguanide, metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. It achieves these effects by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a liver enzyme that plays a crucial role in insulin signalling, whole body energy balance, and glucose and lipid metabolism.

• Keep Glycinorm-M 30 OD Tablet in a dry place, away from light and moisture.

• The ideal storage temperature is between 20°C to 25°C; however, brief fluctuations between 15°C and 30°C are permissible.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
