Reclimet OD 30 Mg Tablet ER is used in adults to improve blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes through a combination of two active antidiabetic medicines.

• Metformin (500 mg): Classified as a biguanide, metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. It achieves these effects by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a liver enzyme that plays a crucial role in insulin signalling, whole body energy balance, and glucose and lipid metabolism.
