Azovas 16 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults, and helps prevent complications such as heart attacks, strokes and kidney problems associated with uncontrolled hypertension.

Uses of Azovas 16 Tablet 10 are:

• High Blood Pressure: Relaxes and widens blood vessels to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.

Here's how you should take Azovas 16 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. The tablet should not be crushed, chewed, or broken.

• Try to take the medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for the next one, skip the missed dose and continue with your usual schedule.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice before starting this medication.

Azovas 16 Tablet is taken orally.

Azovas 16 Tablet contains azelnidipine (16 mg). This medicine works in your body in the following ways:

• Blocks Calcium Channels: Azelnidipine blocks special channels, known as L-type calcium channels, in the smooth muscles of your blood vessels. These channels usually allow calcium to enter the cells.

• Relaxes Blood Vessels: By blocking these calcium channels, azelnidipine prevents calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells in your blood vessels. This makes these blood vessels relax and widen, which decreases the resistance to blood flow through the vessels.

• Reduces Blood Pressure: As a result of the relaxed and widened blood vessels, blood can flow more easily. This reduces the workload on your heart and lowers your blood pressure.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture.

• Limit your salt intake. High sodium levels can raise blood pressure, making it harder for Azovas 16 Tablet to manage your hypertension. Opt for low-sodium alternatives when you can.
