CompositionUniaz 16 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults who need a stronger dose of calcium channel blocker therapy than the standard dose provides. It relaxes and widens blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on your heart.
It contains azelnidipine 16 mg, a long-acting calcium channel blocker. Take it as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Continue taking it even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms, and stopping suddenly can raise it again.
A low-salt diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and stopping smoking can all help support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, heart failure, or are taking other heart or blood pressure medicines. Tell your doctor promptly about swelling of the feet or ankles, which can be more noticeable at this higher dose. Speak to your doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
