Azelniprime 16 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Improving blood vessel function

Follow these instructions while taking Azelniprime 16 Tablet 10:

• Take the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take it at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• Never stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• If you have trouble swallowing tablets, speak to your doctor.

Azelniprime 16 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Azelniprime 16 Tablet 10 contains Azelnidipine (16 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Calcium Channel Blocking: Azelnidipine prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of your heart and blood vessels, which normally causes these muscles to contract.

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: By blocking calcium entry, this medicine helps relax and widen your blood vessels (a process called vasodilation), making it easier for blood to flow through them.

• Vascular Resistance Reduction: The widening of blood vessels decreases the resistance that your heart must pump against, which helps lower the pressure within your arteries.

• Cardiac Workload Decrease: By reducing the pressure in your blood vessels, azelnidipine decreases the amount of work your heart needs to do to pump blood throughout your body.

• Reduce salt intake: Limiting sodium in your diet helps manage high blood pressure (hypertension). Try to keep your daily salt consumption below 5 grams and avoid processed foods which often contain hidden salt.

• Regular physical activity: Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise (like brisk walking) most days of the week to help lower blood pressure naturally alongside your medication.
