Voglistar GM2 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps regulate blood sugar levels by improving insulin action, reducing sugar absorption, and increasing glucose utilization. It is prescribed along with diet and exercise to prevent diabetes-related complications.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Voglistar GM2 Tablet is taken orally.

Voglistar GM2 Tablet consists of three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This is a type of sulfonylurea that works by stimulating certain cells in your pancreas (known as beta cells) to release more insulin. This action helps lower blood glucose levels. Additionally, glimepiride increases the sensitivity of peripheral tissues to insulin.
• Metformin (500 mg): It belongs to the biguanide class of antidiabetic medicines. It helps manage blood sugar levels by reducing glucose production in your liver, decreasing glucose absorption in your intestines, and improving insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation.
• Voglibose (0.2 mg): As an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, voglibose slows down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in your small intestine. This prevents rapid spikes in blood sugar levels after meals.

• Store Voglistar GM2 Tablet at room temperature below 30°C.
• Keep the container tightly shut to protect from moisture.
• Do not expose the medicine to direct sunlight or extreme heat.
• Ensure you keep it out of reach of children.
• Always use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Incorporate foods with low glycemic index, such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, berries, citrus fruits, chia seeds, bitter gourd and extra virgin olive oil.
• Limit your intake of processed and high-sugar foods, which can cause spikes in blood sugar levels.
• Avoid refined sugar intake in any form. Instead, use natural sweeteners such as stevia, sugar alcohols, yacon syrup, allulose, and monk fruit sweeteners.
• Regular physical activity like walking or cycling can help improve insulin sensitivity, thereby supporting the effectiveness of Voglistar GM2 Tablet.
