Glimy MV2 Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes for triple-mechanism blood sugar control including post-meal glucose management through voglibose.

Uses of Glimy MV2 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Controls fasting and post-meal blood sugar through insulin stimulation (glimepiride), hepatic glucose reduction (metformin), and slowed carbohydrate absorption (voglibose).

When taking Glimy MV2 Tablet, please follow these steps:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Glimy MV2 Tablet is taken orally.

Glimy MV2 Tablet combines three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This component is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin, which helps to manage fasting blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): This ingredient primarily works by decreasing glucose production in the liver and decreasing glucose absorption from the intestines. It also increases insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake by peripheral tissues, helping to lower post-meal blood sugar levels.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): This component acts as an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of complex carbohydrates into simple sugars in the intestines. By delaying glucose absorption, voglibose reduces post-meal glucose spikes.

These three ingredients work together to provide a greater reduction in HbA1c compared to any of them alone. Their combined action also minimises the risk of hypoglycaemia compared to taking only a sulfonylurea.

• Keep the Glimy MV2 Tablet in its original packaging until it's time to take it.

• Store at room temperature, ideally between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.

• Avoid direct sunlight, intense light, and excess humidity.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Check the expiry date on the pack and never use it past this date.

• As Glimy MV2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes, maintaining a balanced diet is paramount. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your meals but limit your intake of sugary foods and drinks.

• Regular physical activity helps control blood sugar levels. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise such as brisk walking, cycling or swimming five times a week. Always remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.
