Amaryl MV 2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, helping to control blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
It is a combination medicine containing glimepiride, metformin and voglibose, which work together to increase insulin release, improve the body's response to insulin, and slow the absorption of sugar from food. Take it with meals as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly, even if you feel well, to keep your blood sugar under control.
Following a diet with controlled carbohydrate intake, eating meals at regular times, and staying physically active can help this medicine work more effectively. Regular monitoring of your blood sugar levels, as advised by your doctor, is also important.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you are due to have surgery or an imaging scan involving contrast dye. Tell your doctor if you notice signs of low blood sugar, such as sweating, shakiness or confusion. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
