GlimiSave MV 2 Tablet is used in adults to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus by helping control high blood sugar levels.

Uses of GlimiSave MV 2 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes Control: Helps lower and maintain healthy blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.
• Post-Meal Sugar Spikes: Reduces sharp rises in blood sugar after meals.
• Complication Prevention: Helps reduce the risk of long-term diabetes complications, such as kidney, nerve, and vision problems.

• Swallow the tablet whole, without crushing, chewing or breaking it.

• Take the medicine with a meal, preferably in the morning.

• Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before stopping this medication.

GlimiSave MV 2 Tablet is taken orally.

GlimiSave MV 2 Tablet consists of three active ingredients that work together to effectively manage blood sugar levels:

• Glimepiride (2mg): A sulfonylurea that encourages your pancreas to produce more insulin. By binding to specific receptors on pancreatic cells, glimepiride triggers the release of insulin which helps lower blood glucose levels.

• Metformin (500mg): A biguanide that minimises the amount of glucose produced by your liver, reduces glucose absorption in your intestines, and enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and usage in other parts of your body. Unlike sulfonylureas, metformin doesn't cause low blood sugar when used alone.

• Voglibose (0.2mg): An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays the breakdown of complex carbohydrates into simple sugars in your intestines. This process slows down glucose absorption after meals, helping to regulate sudden spikes in blood sugar levels.

• Keep your GlimiSave MV 2 Tablet stored at room temperature, ideally between 10-25°C.

• Protect the medication from direct light and avoid damp areas; so it's not a good idea to store them in a bathroom cabinet.

• Please ensure the tablets are out of reach and sight of children.
