CompositionTorsid 10 Tablet is used to reduce fluid build-up (oedema) in adults with heart failure, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease or nephrotic syndrome, and to help control high blood pressure.
It contains torsemide, a loop diuretic. It works by helping the kidneys remove excess salt and water as urine, which reduces swelling.
Take it as prescribed, ideally in the morning to avoid needing the toilet at night.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, or an allergy to sulphonamides, before use. Your doctor may check your body salts and kidney function. Report muscle cramps, marked dizziness or very low urine output.
