Torsid 10 Tablet is used to manage fluid retention and high blood pressure in adults with heart and kidney conditions.

Uses of Torsid 10 Tablet are:

• Fluid Retention: Reduces oedema in heart failure, liver cirrhosis and kidney disease.
• Nephrotic Syndrome: Helps relieve fluid build-up in nephrotic syndrome.
• High Blood Pressure: Helps control hypertension alone or with other medicines.

Here are some helpful instructions while taking Torsid 10 Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• Make sure to take it in the morning to avoid going to the toilet frequently at night.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet; swallow it intact.

• Consistency is key: take it at the same time each day.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Torsid 10 Tablet contains Torsemide (10 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Acts on Kidneys: Torsemide works on a specific part of your kidneys known as the loop of Henle.

• Inhibits Sodium-Potassium-Chloride Cotransporter: This action prevents the reabsorption of these electrolytes, leading to their excretion along with water.

• Increases Urine Production: By promoting diuresis (increased urine production), it helps eliminate excess accumulated fluid from your body.

• Reduces Cardiac Workload: As it decreases fluid overload in the body, it reduces the workload on your heart and lowers blood pressure.

• Store Torsid 10 Tablet at a cool room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, tightly closed to protect from light and moisture.

• Always keep Torsid 10 Tablet out of reach of children.

• Be sure to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you have oedema or high blood pressure, try to limit your salt intake. Excess salt can increase fluid retention and raise blood pressure.

• Stay well-hydrated but avoid excessive fluid intake if you have congestive heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disease. Too much water can worsen these conditions. Always follow your doctor's advice on fluid intake.
