Torsinex 10 Tablet is used to reduce fluid build-up (oedema) in adults with heart failure, kidney disease or liver disease. It is a single-ingredient loop diuretic containing torsemide.
It helps the kidneys remove excess water and salt through urine and is also used to manage high blood pressure. Take it in the morning in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, so that frequent urination does not disturb your sleep.
Follow the salt and fluid advice from your doctor, and cut down on pickles, papad and packaged snacks. Rise slowly from a sitting position to avoid dizziness.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney failure, liver cirrhosis, gout, diabetes or an allergy to sulphonamides, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Your doctor may monitor your kidney function and blood salts from time to time. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
