Torget 10 Tablet is used to treat swelling caused by excess fluid in the body (oedema) in adults with heart failure, kidney disease and liver disease. It is a single-ingredient loop diuretic containing torsemide.
It also helps control high blood pressure and, by reducing fluid build-up, eases swelling and shortness of breath. Take it, usually in the morning to avoid passing urine at night, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Cut down on salt from pickles, papad and packaged snacks, keep to your monitoring appointments and follow any fluid-intake advice from your doctor.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you are allergic to sulphonamide medicines or have gout or diabetes, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Regular blood tests check your kidneys and salt levels. Report marked dizziness, muscle cramps or ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
