Telkonol M Tablet 10 is used for the following:

Telkonol M Tablet 10 comprises two active ingredients that work together to manage high blood pressure:

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): This component is a beta-1 selective adrenergic receptor blocking agent that reduces heart rate and the strength of heart muscle contractions, lessening the work your heart has to do. It also reduces the release of a substance called renin from your kidneys, leading to decreased levels of certain hormones that can raise blood pressure.
• Telmisartan (40 mg): Classified as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), telmisartan stops angiotensin II from binding to receptors in your blood vessels. This prevents the narrowing of blood vessels (vasoconstriction) and reduces the secretion of aldosterone, a hormone that can cause water retention and increased blood volume. By causing blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), telmisartan decreases peripheral resistance, effectively reducing blood pressure.
