Metosartan 25 Tablet 10

Metosartan 25 Tablet is used in adults for the long-term management of high blood pressure and to help protect the heart and kidneys.

Uses of Metosartan 25 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control raised blood pressure.
• Heart Protection: Helps reduce strain on the heart and the risk of heart attack and stroke.
• Kidney Protection: Helps protect kidney function in adults with high blood pressure.

• Swallow the Metosartan 25 Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the Metosartan 25 Tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Take the Metosartan 25 Tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication. 
• Do not change your Metosartan 25 Tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Metosartan 25 Tablets are taken orally.

• Telmisartan, an active ingredient in Metosartan 25 Tablet, is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. By blocking the action of angiotensin II, Telmisartan widens the blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure.
• Metoprolol Succinate, another active ingredient in Metosartan 25 Tablet, is a beta-blocker that works by blocking the action of adrenaline and slowing down the heart rate. It helps to reduce the workload on the heart and lower blood pressure.
• Together, Telmisartan and Metoprolol work effectively in lowering blood pressure by reducing the constriction of blood vessels and decreasing the workload on the heart.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Metosartan 25 Tablets away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Too much salt can increase blood pressure, so limit your intake to less than 5 g daily. Avoid adding extra salt to your food.
• Avoid processed foods high in sodium.
• A healthy and balanced diet is essential for managing high blood pressure. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
• Drinking too much alcohol can increase blood pressure, so limiting your intake can lower the risk of hypertension.
• Exercise regularly to lower blood pressure. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise daily.
• Manage stress through relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises to control your blood pressure.
• Quitting smoking is also an effective strategy for managing high blood pressure.
