Metolar TL 25 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Reducing cardiovascular risks, such as a heart attack or stroke, in adults aged 55 years or older who are at high risk.

Here's how you should take Metolar TL 25 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.

• Always stick to the dose advised by your doctor. Do not take more without consulting them.

• Never stop taking this medicine suddenly without speaking to your doctor first. They will guide you on how to gradually reduce the dose before stopping completely.

Metolar TL 25 Tablet is taken orally.

Metolar TL 25 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): As a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker, metoprolol succinate acts by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. The result is a reduction in heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): Classified as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), telmisartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance in your body that causes blood vessels to narrow. By doing so, it helps relax and widen the blood vessels, which in turn reduces blood pressure.

• Store Metolar TL 25 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Prevent exposure to excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.

• Always keep the medicine in a secure place out of reach of children.

• Be sure to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• As Metolar TL 25 Tablet is used to manage hypertension, consider reducing your sodium intake. Too much salt can cause your blood pressure to rise.

• Regular moderate-intensity physical activity, like brisk walking or cycling, can help lower your blood pressure and keep it under control.
