TAMSUGARD D TABLET 10 is a medicine used to manage the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a common condition in adult men where the prostate gland becomes enlarged. It helps relieve urinary symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, frequent urination, weak urine flow, and the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.
Urilosin-D Tablet is a combination medicine that contains tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker, and dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It is generally taken long term, and full benefit may take several months.
Certain lifestyle adjustments can help reduce urinary symptoms alongside this medicine. These include limiting fluids before bedtime, reducing caffeine and alcohol intake, and emptying the bladder fully when you urinate. Regular check-ups help monitor prostate health while on treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure, liver problems, a history of fainting, or are taking other medicines (including erectile dysfunction medicines). Stand up slowly from sitting or lying down to reduce the risk of dizziness, especially when you first start the medicine. This medicine is not for use in women, particularly those who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as dutasteride can be absorbed through the skin and may harm an unborn baby.
