Tamdosin 0.4 Tablet 15 is used for the following:

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

• Management of difficult urination in men

• Relief of urinary incontinence

• Reducing frequent night-time urination

• Improving urine flow in older men

• Easing bladder outlet obstruction

• Managing sexual dysfunction related to prostate enlargement

• Relief of painful ejaculation in men with BPH

Follow these instructions while taking Tamdosin 0.4 Tablet 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet as this may affect how it works.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly for the best results, even if you feel better.

Tamdosin 0.4 Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Tamdosin 0.4 Tablet 15 contains tamsulosin (0.4 mg), which works in the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 Receptor Blockade: Tamsulosin specifically blocks alpha-1 receptors found in the smooth muscles surrounding the bladder neck and prostate gland, preventing these muscles from contracting.

• Muscle Relaxation: By blocking these receptors, tamsulosin helps relax the smooth muscles in the prostate area and urethra, making it easier for urine to flow through.

• Symptom Relief: This relaxation effect reduces the pressure on the urethra, decreasing the uncomfortable urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate without actually shrinking the gland itself.

• Store Tamdosin 0.4 Tablet 15 in its original packaging at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C).
