Solvin Tablet is used to provide relief from a blocked or "stuffy" nose caused by the common cold, sinus infections, or allergies. It helps relieve the pressure and discomfort in the face (sinusitis) and clears the nasal passages, allowing you to breathe comfortably through your nose again.
This medication contains Phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant. It works by narrowing the swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages. When these vessels shrink, the swelling goes down and the production of excess mucus is reduced, which physically opens up the airways and relieves that "clogged" feeling.
Take this tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually every 4 to 6 hours as needed. It is best taken for short-term relief (not more than 7 days). Inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, thyroid issues, or heart disease, as decongestants can occasionally increase heart rate or blood pressure. Avoid taking this medication late in the evening if it makes you feel restless or interferes with your sleep.
