Rifastop 400 Tablet 10

Rifastop 400mg Tablet is used to manage traveller's diarrhoea, prevent hepatic encephalopathy recurrence, and control symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea in adults.

Uses of Rifastop 400mg Tablet are:

• Traveller's Diarrhoea: Targets non-invasive E. coli bacteria to help restore normal bowel function.
• Hepatic Encephalopathy Prevention: Helps reduce the risk of recurrence of hepatic encephalopathy in patients with liver disease.
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhoea (IBS-D): Controls symptoms and alleviates related discomfort.

• Take the tablet as a whole with some water. Do not break, chew or crush it.
• This medicine can be taken with or without food.
• It's crucial to finish the entire course of this medication, even if your symptoms improve earlier.

Rifastop 400 Tablet 10 composition contains Rifaximin (400 Mg) as its active ingredients.

• Inhibits Bacterial RNA Synthesis: Rifaximin works by blocking the process that bacteria use to make their proteins, effectively stopping the growth of E. coli bacteria causing diarrhoea.
• Reduces Breakdown of Ammonia: For hepatic encephalopathy management, rifaximin helps reduce the breakdown of ammonia by intestinal bacteria. This action results in lower blood ammonia levels and prevents neurological symptoms associated with high ammonia levels.

• Store your Rifastop 400 Tablet 10 at room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.
• Keep the medicine away from exposure to light and moisture.
• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• If you have traveller's diarrhoea, drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated and avoid spicy or oily foods that can make your symptoms worse.
• Low-protein diet can help reduce blood ammonia levels, so consider reducing your intake of meat and dairy products.
