By inhibiting neprilysin, sacubitril increases the levels of these substances, resulting in more fluid being expelled from the body via urine, decreased blood volume, and reduced workload on your heart.
• Valsartan (26 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), valsartan prevents a substance known as angiotensin II from acting on receptors in your blood vessels and adrenal gland. This action results in dilation of blood vessels, reduction in blood pressure, and decreased secretion of aldosterone, a hormone that can cause salt and fluid retention.
