Moxovas 0.3 Tablet is used in adults to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), helping to protect the heart, kidneys, and brain from the long-term effects of raised pressure.
It contains moxonidine, a centrally-acting medicine that reduces the nerve signals which tighten blood vessels, allowing them to relax. Take it at the same time each day, exactly as prescribed. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a sharp rebound rise in blood pressure; the dose should be reduced gradually under medical guidance.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol all help control blood pressure alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart problems, kidney or liver problems, or a history of depression, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report marked dizziness, very slow heartbeat, or persistent low mood promptly.
