Defcort 6 Tablet 10

Defcort 6 Tablet is used to reduce inflammation and calm an overactive immune system.

Uses of Defcort 6 Tablet are:

• Inflammatory and Autoimmune Conditions: Treats asthma, arthritis, lupus, and allergic disorders.
• Muscular Dystrophy: Helps preserve muscle strength in Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
• Immune-Mediated Disease: Manages inflammation in immune-mediated conditions.

• Take the tablet with a glass of water.
• Swallow the tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
• This medication can be taken with or without food, but taking it at a fixed time is advisable.

Defcort 6 Tablet should be taken orally.

Defcort 6 Tablet contains the following component:

• Deflazacort (6 mg): It is a corticosteroid. After entering the body, it is converted to the active form by binding to receptors to express anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects on the body. The anti-inflammatory effect is due to the inhibition of certain chemicals which cause inflammation. Immunosuppressive property reduces the sensitivity of the immune system.

• Store this medicine at room temperature (15-25ºC).
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Defcort 6 Tablet away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Eat veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes, omega-3 foods, and lean proteins for a healthy diet.
• Chronic stress can raise blood pressure; manage it by spending time with loved ones and practising mindfulness.
• Cut back on alcohol consumption.
• Quit smoking.
