Geminor M 2 Tablet is used in adults to control high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes. Keeping blood sugar steady helps prevent long-term problems affecting the heart, kidneys and nerves.
It contains glimepiride, a sulphonylurea, and metformin, a biguanide, which together help the body release more insulin and use insulin better.
Take it as prescribed, with food, and do not skip meals after taking it. Keep taking it even when you feel well, and carry a quick source of sugar in case your blood sugar drops.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, or a history of low blood sugar, before use. Report signs of low blood sugar such as sweating, shakiness and confusion, and extreme tiredness or rapid breathing, which can rarely signal lactic acidosis.
