Metasone Plus Cream Metasone Plus Cream is used to treat moderate to severe melasma (dark brown patches on the face) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It helps fade stubborn dark spots from sun damage, hormonal changes, or acne scarring, supporting a more even skin tone as part of a supervised, short-term skin-lightening treatment.
It contains a triple combination of hydroquinone, tretinoin, and mometasone, a topical corticosteroid. Apply a small amount to the affected spots only, at night, at least 30 minutes before bed, as prescribed. Continue for the exact duration advised by your doctor, and do not stop or extend treatment on your own.
Sun protection is essential alongside this cream: use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily, and limit direct sun exposure, as even minimal sunlight can reverse the lightening effect.
Before starting this cream, tell your doctor about any skin sensitivity, recent sunburn, or other skin treatments you are using. Use it for no longer than the prescribed period, usually not more than two to three months, to avoid skin thinning or permanent darkening, and report worsening irritation.
