Melalite XL Cream is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Melasma: A common skin condition characterised by dark brown patches on the face.

• Inflammation-associated skin conditions: By reducing redness, swelling, and itching.

• Skin renewal: Promotes cell turnover helping new, evenly-pigmented skin to emerge.

Follow these steps while using Melalite XL Cream :

• Firstly, ensure your face is clean and dry. Use a mild soap or cleanser, then gently pat dry.

• Apply a thin layer of the prescribed amount of cream to the affected areas, ideally 30 minutes before bedtime.

• Rub it in gently and evenly, going slightly beyond the area with dark patches.

• Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after application to avoid spreading the cream to other areas.

Melalite XL Cream is applied topically.

Melalite XL Cream combines three active ingredients which contribute towards its effectiveness:

• Hydroquinone (2%): This component acts as a significant skin lightening agent. It works by inhibiting an enzyme called tyrosinase in your body that plays a key role in producing melanin, the pigment responsible for the colour of your skin. By reducing melanin synthesis, hydroquinone helps to lighten dark patches on the skin.

• Tretinoin (0.025%): A derivative of vitamin A known as a retinoid, tretinoin promotes skin cell turnover and renewal. It aids in exfoliating the top layer of skin, allowing new, evenly-pigmented skin to emerge. Further, it enhances the penetration of the other active ingredients in Melalite XL Cream.

• Mometasone (0.1%): Known as a medium-potency corticosteroid, mometasone aids in reducing inflammation. It penetrates cell membranes and binds to specific receptors inside cells. This action blocks the production of substances that cause inflammation, thereby helping to alleviate redness, swelling and itching associated with melasma.

• Store Melalite XL Cream at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the product away from direct light and moisture.

• Always ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use.

• Keep this medication out of reach and sight of children.

• Limit sun exposure: Exposure to the sun can worsen melasma. When outside, always cover your face with a hat or scarf, and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 every two hours.

• Manage stress levels: Hormonal shifts triggered by stress can aggravate melasma. Practise stress management techniques like yoga or meditation to maintain balanced hormone levels.
