Gliptagreat 50 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults by helping to control blood sugar alongside diet and exercise. It belongs to a group of medicines called DPP-4 inhibitors, and may be used alone or in combination with other diabetes medicines.
This medicine works by increasing levels of incretin hormones in the body, which prompts the pancreas to release more insulin and reduces glucose production by the liver when blood sugar is high.
Take this tablet with or without food at the same time each day as prescribed, and continue to follow a diet with regular balanced meals, controlled carbohydrate intake and regular physical activity.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems and a history of pancreatitis before taking this medicine. Report any severe and persistent stomach pain promptly, and speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
