Intaglip Tablet 10 is used for the following health conditions:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone fail to control blood sugar levels.

• Use as a standalone medication if metformin is contraindicated or not tolerated.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't chew or crush it.

• This medication can be taken with or without food.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on how many tablets to take each day.

Intaglip Tablet 10 contains Vildagliptin (50 MG), which influences the body as follows:

• DPP-4 Inhibition: Vildagliptin functions by hindering an enzyme known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). This enzyme typically breaks down certain hormones in your body that are associated with controlling blood sugar levels.

• Blood Sugar Regulation: By inhibiting DPP-4, vildagliptin increases and prolongs the action of these hormones. This leads to two effects: it helps stimulate insulin release from pancreatic cells when needed (which reduces blood sugar), and it suppresses glucagon release from other pancreatic cells when not required (which prevents a rise in blood sugar).
