Vinglyn Tablet 15 is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient. It helps control blood sugar levels by improving the body’s ability to regulate glucose. This tablet may also be used alone in patients who cannot tolerate metformin, supporting stable and long-term glycaemic control.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't chew or crush it.

• This medication can be taken with or without food.

Vinglyn Tablet 15 contains Vildagliptin (50 MG), which influences the body as follows:

• DPP-4 Inhibition: Vildagliptin functions by hindering an enzyme known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). This enzyme typically breaks down certain hormones in your body that are associated with controlling blood sugar levels.

• Blood Sugar Regulation: By inhibiting DPP-4, vildagliptin increases and prolongs the action of these hormones. This leads to two effects: it helps stimulate insulin release from pancreatic cells when needed (which reduces blood sugar), and it suppresses glucagon release from other pancreatic cells when not required (which prevents a rise in blood sugar). As a result, vildagliptin helps effectively manage both fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetic patients.
