Torglip 50 Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes to improve blood sugar control alongside diet and exercise, either alone or with other diabetes medicines.

Uses of Torglip 50 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
• Combination Therapy: Can be used alongside other diabetes medicines such as metformin or a sulphonylurea to improve blood sugar control.

Here's how you take Torglip 50 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• You can take this medicine either before or after meals.

Torglip 50 Tablet contains vildagliptin (50 mg), which acts on the body through certain mechanisms:

• DPP-4 Inhibition: Vildagliptin blocks an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) that's responsible for breaking down certain hormones called incretins.

• Increase in Active Incretins: By inhibiting DPP-4, vildagliptin boosts active incretin levels, prompting the pancreas to produce more insulin when blood glucose is high.

• Suppression of Glucagon Secretion: Vildagliptin also helps decrease glucose production by the liver by reducing glucagon secretion. These mechanisms work collectively to regulate and maintain blood sugar levels.

• Keep your Torglip 50 Tablet in a dry place, shielded from moisture.

• Store it at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
