Chexid RF Tablet is used to treat problems caused by excess stomach acid, such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach or intestinal ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition in which the stomach makes too much acid.
It belongs to a group of medicines that reduce stomach acid. By lowering acid production, it relieves symptoms such as heartburn, sour belching, and stomach pain, and helps heal acid-related damage to the food pipe in GERD and peptic ulcers. Take it as prescribed by your doctor.
Certain habits support treatment. Eat smaller meals, avoid lying down soon after eating, and cut back on foods and drinks that trigger acidity, such as spicy or fatty foods, caffeine, and alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any existing health conditions and other medicines you take. Use it for the duration your doctor advises, and report any symptoms that do not improve.
