Bisotab 2.5 Tablet is used for blood pressure, angina and heart failure.

Uses of Bisotab 2.5 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure and Angina: Helps control blood pressure and chest pain.
• Stable Heart Failure: Helps the heart pump more effectively in chronic heart failure.
• After a Heart Attack: Supports recovery and lowers the risk of further problems.

Follow these instructions while taking Bisotab 2.5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.
• Ensure you do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
• It's essential not to discontinue this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Bisotab 2.5 Tablet is taken orally.

Bisotab 2.5 Tablet contains bisoprolol (2.5 mg) which works on your body through the following mechanisms:

• Blocking Natural Chemicals: Bisoprolol works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body such as epinephrine on the heart and blood vessels.
• Reducing Heart Rate and Blood Pressure: The blocking action reduces heart rate and blood pressure, easing strain on the heart.
• Improving Blood Circulation: By reducing strain on the heart, it makes it easier for the heart to pump blood around your body.
• Selective Action: Bisoprolol is cardioselective; it primarily affects beta-1 receptors in your heart, but at higher doses (≥ 20 mg), it can also block beta-2 receptors located in your bronchial and vascular smooth muscle.

• Store Bisotab 2.5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20-25°C.
• Make sure the storage area is free from excessive light and moisture.
• Keep the medicine in its original, tightly closed container.
• Always keep Bisotab 2.5 Tablet out of the reach of children.
• Be mindful to use this medication before the expiry date indicated on the package.

• For managing high blood pressure, it's beneficial to reduce your salt intake. High sodium levels can raise blood pressure, so try to limit fast food, processed meals, and salty snacks.
• To help manage angina pectoris (chest pain), consider regular, gentle exercise like walking or swimming. However, please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
