CompositionAzibact Oral Suspension is used to treat bacterial infections in children, including infections of the respiratory tract, ear, throat, lungs and skin. It is also used to treat typhoid fever (enteric fever).
It contains azithromycin, an antibiotic that works against a wide range of bacteria. Give the suspension to your child exactly as prescribed. Complete the full course even if your child seems better after a few doses, to help ensure the infection clears completely and to reduce the chance of the bacteria becoming resistant.
Encouraging your child to rest, drink plenty of fluids, and eat light, nutritious meals can support recovery while they are on antibiotic treatment. Shake the bottle well before each dose to ensure your child gets the correct amount of medicine.
Before giving this medicine, tell your doctor about any known allergies, especially to antibiotics, or other medicines your child is taking. Contact your doctor if your child develops severe diarrhoea, a skin rash, or signs of an allergic reaction. Tell your doctor if your child has any liver problems.
