Vinicor-Am 25/2.5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure, also known as hypertension

• Management of angina pectoris, a condition characterised by chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart

• Employed in combination therapy to achieve blood pressure goals in patients likely to need multiple medicines

• Used when transitioning from monotherapy to combination therapy for better control of hypertension

• Provides relief and manages symptoms in chronic stable angina, a type of chest pain or discomfort that typically occurs with activity or stress

• Helpful in managing vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina), a rare form of angina where chest pain occurs at rest

• Used for patients with angiographically documented coronary artery disease without heart failure or an ejection fraction below 40%

Using Vinicor-Am 25/2.5 Tablet is simple when you follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken either with food or on an empty stomach.

• Ensure you take it at the same time every day to get the most benefit.

• Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without talking to your doctor first, as it may worsen your condition.

Vinicor-Am 25/2.5 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): This is a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It reduces the workload on your heart and lowers its oxygen demand by slowing down your heart rate and decreasing the force of your cardiac muscle contractions. It also suppresses the renin-angiotensin system, contributing further to its antihypertensive effects.

• Amlodipine (2.5 mg): This long-acting calcium channel blocker belongs to the dihydropyridine class.
