Tiotropin 18 Capsule 30

Tiotropin 18 Capsule is used in the following conditions:

• Management of COPD: This capsule-containing powder is also used to maintain airflow obstruction in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients.
• Management of asthma: This medicine is used as a maintenance treatment for individuals with asthma. These help control and prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness. These also reduce airway inflammation during asthma and help long-term asthma control.

• Inhale Tiotropin 18 Capsule with a revolizer as directed by your doctor. 
• Refer to the enclosed leaflet before using it.
• Do not swallow.
• After inhalation, rinse the mouth with water.

Tiotropin 18 Capsule is inhaled orally.

Tiotropin 18 Capsule contains the following components: 

• Tiotropium (18 mcg): Tiotropium is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) or an anticholinergic. It works by blocking the action of a substance called acetylcholine on specific receptors in the airways, known as muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from moisture.
• Keep the container tightly closed.
• Keep Tiotropin 18 Capsule away from children.

• Understand the correct technique for using a revolizer as guided by your doctor to maximise effectiveness.
• Minimise exposure to allergens like dust mites, pet dander, pollen, or mold, which can trigger bronchospasm. 
• Keep your living environment clean, and consider using air purifiers if necessary.
• If you are a smoker, quit smoking to manage asthma and COPD symptoms.
• Avoid exposure to strong odours and chemical fumes, as they can irritate the airways and trigger bronchospasm. 
• Learn and practice breathing techniques to improve your lung function and control breathlessness. Consult your doctor to learn about breathing exercises.
