Silofast 8 Capsule is used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), in men. It helps relieve a weak urine stream, urgency, and the frequent need to urinate, especially at night.
It contains silodosin, an alpha-blocker that helps relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck. Take it with a meal as prescribed for steady absorption. Continue taking it regularly even if your symptoms improve.
Limiting fluids in the evening can help reduce night-time urination, and cutting down on caffeine and alcohol may help ease bladder irritation. Avoid delaying urination when you feel the urge to go.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems, low blood pressure, or planned cataract or eye surgery. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down to reduce dizziness. This medicine is for use in men only.
