Composition

SPIRONOLACTONE (50 MG) + TORSEMIDE (5 MG)

Dytor Plus 5 tablet is a diuretic with a combination of two drugs torsemide and spironolactone. It is helpful in treating oedema (fluid overload in the body) and maintaining the potassium level. Beneficial in maintaining blood pressure in resistant hypertension cases.

Dytor Plus 5 tablet removes excess water and salts from the body. Dytor Plus 5 tablet has to be taken on the advice of the doctor strictly in the dose and duration prescribed. Important to discuss with the doctor about liver, kidney, or cardiac problems before using Dytor Plus 5 tablet.

Frequent urination is commonly observed, altering the level of electrolytes in the body. Regular check on kidney function and serum electrolytes is recommended by the doctor to manage the dose accordingly.

Dizziness - Light-headedness is commonly observed, need to take precautions while changing posture
Headache - Heaviness in the head may be felt due to excessive loss of water, dehydration leads to pressure on veins around the skull
Nausea, vomiting - Mainly due to increased loss of water, oral rehydration will help reduce it
Frequent urination - The diuretic action of the combination drug leads to frequent urination and the release of excess water
Weakness - Dehydration leads to general weakness due to low blood flow

Dizziness - Have a vitamin C rich beverage like lime or orange juice
Headache - Having a ginger based tea will provide relief
Nausea, vomiting - Hydrate with fluids like water and juices, having peppermint tea will reduce the nausea and vomiting sensation
Frequent urination - Consume enough water to avoid dehydration, Tulsi (holy basil) based leaves (2-3) with some honey can be taken to reduce frequent urination
Weakness - Try to rest and eat normal food, ginseng or ashwagandha will be helpful in providing relief

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - Painkillers
Antibiotics - trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole, ceftriaxone, cefazolin, gentamicin, streptomycin
Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) - Medicines used to treat high blood pressure such as angiotensin II blockers or beta-blockers (Ex. enalapril, telmisartan, valsartan, propranolol)
Digoxin (used in case of heart failure) Lithium (a medicine used to treat mental illness)

Dytor Plus 5 tablet can interact with:

Foods rich in potassium content like bananas, dry fruits, milk, and milk products.
Oral rehydration fluids containing potassium salts may also lead to increased potassium levels in the body.

Kidney Disease
Liver Disease
Cardiac disease (Heart failure, coronary heart disease)
Stenosis (heart valve dysfunction)
Low Blood pressure (hypotension)

No urine output (Anuria)

Daily Dose

The recommended daily dose of Dytor Plus 5 tablet is as directed by your doctor. Based on general health and blood investigations your doctor may recommend changes accordingly during the course. Do not exceed the dosage without consulting a doctor.

Over Dose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Dytor Plus 5 tablet by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, frequent urination and weakness.
