Amlip-5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of chest pain (angina). It contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing blood vessels, improving blood flow, and reducing the heart's workload. This helps lower blood pressure and relieve chest pain.
Whereas angina pectoris, commonly referred to as angina, is a condition characterised by chest pain or discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle. It typically occurs when there is an imbalance between the heart's oxygen demand and supply. The symptoms of angina include chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, fatigue, sweating, nausea and dizziness.
Amlip 5 MG Tablet composition includes Amlodipine Besilate (5 mg) as its active ingredient that helps to regulate blood pressure and improve blood flow, thereby reducing the workload on the heart and enhancing cardiovascular health.
While the Amlip 5 MG Tablet is generally considered safe and effective, it might only suit some. Patients with hypotension (low blood pressure) and severe aortic stenosis (a condition where the aortic valve of the heart is narrowed) should not take Amlip 5 MG Tablet until the doctor prescribes it.
