CompositionMaxvoid-8 Tablet is used in men to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia), improving urine flow and reducing frequency, urgency and the feeling of not emptying fully.
It contains silodosin, an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the prostate and bladder neck, which lets urine flow more easily.
Take it with a meal at the same time each day as prescribed, and rise slowly from sitting or lying down, especially at the start.
If you are due to have eye surgery, particularly for cataracts, tell your eye surgeon you take this medicine, as it can affect the pupil. Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems or low blood pressure. Report marked dizziness on standing.
