Budecort 0.5 mg Respules are used for the long-term control of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). They contain budesonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways and helps keep them open.
Used regularly through a nebuliser, they help control symptoms such as wheezing, breathlessness, and chest tightness, prevent flare-ups, and support more stable breathing. They are intended as a regular preventer rather than for the immediate relief of a sudden attack.
Rinsing your mouth after each use helps reduce the chance of a mouth infection (oral thrush), and using the correct inhalation technique helps the medicine work well.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any existing conditions or other medicines you take. Report any persistent cough or signs of a mouth infection to your doctor.
