Rabesec-D SR Capsule is used to treat chronic acidity, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and functional dyspepsia (indigestion). It provides relief from ""sour stomach,"" chest burning, and the uncomfortable feeling of fullness after eating. The ""Sustained Release"" (SR) formula helps maintain symptom control throughout the day and supports healing of the esophageal lining.
This medication contains a combination of Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, and Domperidone, a prokinetic agent. Rabeprazole reduces stomach acid production, while Domperidone increases the speed at which the stomach empties its contents into the intestine. This dual action helps prevent acid from lingering in the stomach and moving upward into the food pipe.
Take this capsule on an empty stomach, preferably 30 minutes before breakfast, as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole; do not crush or chew it, as this would interfere with the sustained-release mechanism. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart rhythm disorders or if you are taking medications for fungal infections or HIV.
