Rabesec-D SR Capsule is used to treat chronic acidity, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and functional dyspepsia (indigestion). It provides relief from a sour stomach, chest burning and the uncomfortable feeling of fullness after eating.
It contains a combination of rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production, and domperidone, a prokinetic agent that speeds up stomach emptying. This dual action helps prevent acid from lingering in the stomach and moving upward into the food pipe. Take the capsule on an empty stomach, preferably 30 minutes before breakfast, as prescribed. Swallow it whole; do not crush or chew it, as this would interfere with the sustained-release action.
Eating smaller, more frequent meals and avoiding spicy or oily food can support relief from acidity alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart rhythm disorders, or if you are taking medicines for fungal infections or HIV, before starting this capsule.
