It helps improve urine flow and relieve symptoms such as difficulty starting to urinate, a weak stream, and the frequent or urgent need to urinate.
This capsule belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-1 blockers, which relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck so that urine can pass more easily. Take it as directed by your doctor, usually after the same meal each day, and continue for the duration prescribed.
Some simple measures can help alongside this medicine. These include reducing fluids in the evening, limiting caffeine and alcohol, and not delaying urination when you feel the need.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any other medicines you take and whether you are due to have cataract eye surgery. As it can lower blood pressure, you may feel dizzy, especially when standing up quickly or when you first start treatment, so rise slowly. This medicine is for use in men only.
