CompositionS-Amlosafe 5 Tablet is primarily used to manage hypertension, also known as high blood pressure. It contains S-amlodipine, the purified S-enantiomer of amlodipine, from the calcium channel blocker class of medicines.
S-amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels at a lower dose than standard amlodipine, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow to the heart, helping prevent angina attacks.
Take this tablet daily at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, or if you notice significant swelling of the ankles or feet. Avoid grapefruit juice, which can increase levels of this medicine in the blood.
