Rozucor F 20 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing levels of high cholesterol

• Controlling mixed dyslipidaemia, a condition where abnormal amounts of lipids (fats) are in your blood

• Regulating excessive triglycerides

• Managing primary hypercholesterolaemia, a condition characterised by very high levels of cholesterol in the blood

• Dealing with familial hypercholesterolaemia, a genetic disorder that leads to high cholesterol levels

Here's how to take Rozucor F 20:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• It is essential to continue taking this medicine as long as your doctor has advised, even if you feel better.

Rozucor F 20 Tablet works through the combined effects of its two active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): Rosuvastatin works by blocking an enzyme in your liver called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is responsible for making cholesterol in the body. By inhibiting this enzyme, rosuvastatin reduces the production of cholesterol. It also increases the number of LDL receptors on the surface of liver cells, which helps your body remove more LDL cholesterol, the bad cholesterol, from your blood. This effectively reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and a protein that carries LDL cholesterol in your blood called apolipoprotein B.

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): This ingredient activates a receptor in your body known as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α). This boosts an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase, which helps break down triglycerides, a type of fat in your blood. Fenofibrate also reduces the production of triglycerides in your liver and increases the production of HDL cholesterol, the good cholesterol.

• Store Rozucor F 20 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25 degrees Celsius.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
