Roko Capsule 10

Roko Capsule is used to manage acute diarrhoea and loose motions. It helps slow bowel movements, reduce stool frequency, and relieve abdominal discomfort. By controlling sudden diarrhoeal episodes, it supports fluid balance and helps prevent dehydration.

• Take Roko Capsule with or without food.
• Swallow the Roko Capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the Capsule, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Take Roko Capsule at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication.
• Follow your doctor's instructions for taking the Roko Capsule, including the dosage, frequency, and duration of treatment.
• Do not change your Roko Capsule dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Roko 2 mg capsule is to be taken orally with a glass of water.

Roko Capsule 10 composition contains Loperamide (2 Mg) as its active ingredients.

• Roko 2 mg capsule is an anti-diarrheal agent that attaches to opioid receptors in the gut wall, reducing motility and increasing transit time.
• This leads to increased absorption of water and electrolytes, resulting in firmer stools and a reduction in the frequency and volume of bowel movements.
• Roko 2 mg capsule increases the tone of the anal sphincter, which helps reduce faecal incontinence and urgency.
• Roko 2 mg capsule is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and reaches peak plasma concentrations within 2-4 hours after oral administration.
• Roko 2 mg capsule and its metabolites are excreted primarily in the faeces, with only a small fraction eliminated in the urine.
• Loperamide usually takes effect within 1 hour of intake, with a peak effect occurring between 2-4 hours.
• The duration of action is typically 4-6 hours but may be longer in some patients.

• Keep Roko 2 mg capsule out of sight and reach of children. 
• Do not store above 30 °C. Store in the original package. 
• It is vital to check Roko 2 mg capsule expiry date printed on the carton and the blister to avoid their use.  

• Patients taking Roko 2 mg capsules should maintain a balanced diet with adequate fluid and electrolyte intake.
• Diarrhoea can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances, so it is essential to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes. 
• Patients should be encouraged to drink water and clear fluids such as broth and sports drinks to maintain hydration. 
• Additionally, patients should eat foods that are easy to digest and avoid foods that can aggravate diarrhoea, such as spicy or high-fibre foods.
• Patients taking the Roko 2 mg capsule should rest and avoid strenuous physical activity during bouts of diarrhoea. 
• Diarrhoea can be draining, and patients should take the time to rest and recover. 
• Additionally, patients should practice good hygiene, such as washing their hands frequently and avoiding close contact with others to prevent the spread of infection. 
• Patients should also avoid smoking, as smoking can irritate the digestive tract and worsen diarrhoea.

• The effect of the Roko 2 mg capsule can be observed within 1-3 hours of administration of the dose.
• The effect of the Roko 2 mg capsule lasts for an average duration of 8-12 hours.
• Roko 2 mg capsule can cause constipation. Drink fluids and eat foods high in fibre to help prevent constipation.
• If you experience severe abdominal pain, fever, or bloody stools while using a Roko 2 mg capsule, contact your doctor immediately.
• Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor, do not take a Roko 2 mg capsule for more than two days.
