CompositionCYPERSTEP 2 MG CAPSULE 10 is used to control and relieve diarrhoea, including acute (sudden) diarrhoea, traveller's diarrhoea, and long-term (chronic) diarrhoea. It helps reduce the frequency of loose stools and relieves the stomach cramps and discomfort associated with diarrhoea.
It contains loperamide, which slows down the movement of the intestines, allowing more fluid and salts to be absorbed from the bowel. Take the capsule as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine for diarrhoea caused by infection unless specifically advised, and do not exceed the recommended amount.
Staying well hydrated is essential during diarrhoea. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or oral rehydration solutions to replace the fluid and salts lost. Avoid dairy products, fatty foods, and caffeine until your stools return to normal.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a fever, blood or mucus in the stools, liver problems, or are taking other medicines. It is not suitable for children below the recommended age without medical advice. Seek immediate medical attention if diarrhoea persists beyond two days, is accompanied by high fever, or shows no improvement.
