Ridol Tablet is a medicine used to treat sudden (acute) and long-lasting (chronic) diarrhoea in adults and children over 12 years of age. It helps reduce the frequency of loose stools and control bowel movements in conditions such as traveller's diarrhoea.
It contains loperamide, an anti-diarrhoeal medicine. Take it as prescribed by your doctor with water. Continue taking it as instructed until your bowel movements return to normal, but do not exceed the recommended duration or dosage advised by your healthcare provider.
Staying well hydrated is an essential part of managing diarrhoea. Drink plenty of clear fluids, water, or oral rehydration solutions to replace lost fluids and electrolytes, and eat light, non-spicy meals until your stomach settles.
Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have severe inflammatory bowel conditions, blood in your stools, high fever, or severe liver problems. Tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
