Ridol Tablet 10

Ridol Tablet is used to control acute and chronic diarrhoea, including traveller’s diarrhoea and diarrhoea related to inflammatory bowel disease. It reduces stool frequency, relieves urgency and cramps, and helps restore normal bowel function.

When taking Ridol Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.
• Take the tablet on an empty stomach for best results.
• Do not take more than your doctor has recommended.
• Always consult your doctor before changing the dosage or stopping this medicine.

Ridol Tablet is taken orally.

Ridol Tablet contains loperamide (2 mg) which works on the body in the following ways:

• Slows down intestinal motility: Loperamide slows down the movement of the intestines. This reduces the speed at which food and fluids move through this part of your body.
• Reduces stool frequency and volume: By slowing intestinal motility, loperamide effectively reduces both the frequency and volume of stools.
• Increases fluid and electrolyte absorption: The slowed intestinal motility allows more time for the absorption of fluids and electrolytes from the intestines. This makes stools more solid and less frequent.
• Enhances anal sphincter tone: Loperamide increases the tone of the anal sphincter, further assisting in controlling bowel movements.

• Store Ridol Tablet at room temperature, ideally not exceeding 30°C.
• Keep the product away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
• Ensure the packaging remains sealed till required for use.
• Always keep it out of reach of children.
• Use before the expiry date marked on the pack.

• As Ridol Tablet is used to manage diarrhoea, ensure you or the child maintains adequate hydration. Regularly drink clear, electrolyte-rich fluids like coconut water or oral rehydration solutions.
• If you're experiencing traveller's diarrhoea, exercise caution with food and drink in areas where hygiene standards may be uncertain. Eat freshly cooked hot meals and avoid raw salads or unpeeled fruits.
