CompositionRAMI RACE 5 TABLET 10 is used to lower and control high blood pressure (hypertension) and to protect the heart in people at high risk, including after a heart attack. Keeping blood pressure controlled helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems.
It contains ramipril, which belongs to a group of medicines called ACE inhibitors that relax the blood vessels so blood flows more easily and the heart does not have to work as hard. Take it daily as prescribed, and keep taking it even when you feel well.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Avoid this medicine in pregnancy. A dry cough can occur; tell your doctor if it is troublesome. Report marked dizziness, fainting, or swelling of the face, lips or tongue.
