PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10 interacts with the following medicines:

• Cationic medicines: Medications like amiloride, digoxin, and morphine may reduce metformin elimination, potentially increasing the risk of side effects.

• Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors: Medicines such as topiramate and zonisamide can increase your risk of lactic acidosis (dangerous acid buildup in your blood) when taken with PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10.

• CYP2C8 inhibitors: Medicines like gemfibrozil may enhance pioglitazone exposure in your body, potentially increasing side effects.

• Insulin or insulin secretagogues: Using these with PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10 can increase your risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar).

PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10 interacts with the following diseases:

• Kidney impairment: This medicine is not recommended if you have severe kidney problems (eGFR below 30 ml/min/1.73m²) due to the increased risk of lactic acidosis.

• Liver impairment: Use with caution if you have liver problems as it may affect how your body processes the medicine.

• Congestive heart failure: The Pioglitazone component may worsen fluid retention in patients with heart failure.

• Metabolic acidosis: This medicine is not recommended if you have this condition, as it may worsen the acid imbalance.

The daily dose of PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Your dosage may vary based on your blood glucose levels and how well you respond to treatment. Never change your dose without consulting your doctor.

Taking more than the prescribed dosage of PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10 may cause stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, excessive hunger, sweating, and dizziness. You might also experience swelling in your legs and ankles. Contact your doctor if these symptoms occur.

If you forget to take PIOMED M 15 TABLET 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never double your dose to make up for a missed one.
