Perinorm Injection 2ml

Perinorm Injection is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, and indigestion. It is effective for vomiting caused by surgery, chemotherapy, migraines, and digestive disorders, and also helps improve stomach emptying during medical procedures.

Perinorm injection is administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) as an injection.

• Perinorm Injection action is due to Metoclopramide hydrochloride, its active ingredient. Metoclopramide hydrochloride is a medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as prokinetic agents. It works by increasing the motility of the stomach and intestines, which helps to improve gastric emptying and reduce nausea and vomiting.
• Metoclopramide hydrochloride works by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain and gastrointestinal tract. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps to control movement and coordination in the body. By blocking dopamine receptors, metoclopramide hydrochloride increases the release of acetylcholine, another neurotransmitter that stimulates smooth muscle contraction in the gastrointestinal tract.
• In addition to its prokinetic effects, metoclopramide hydrochloride has antiemetic properties, which can help reduce nausea and vomiting. It works by blocking the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) in the brain, which is responsible for the sensation of nausea and vomiting.

• Store this medicine at a temperature 20 - 25 ºC. Do not freeze.
• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.
• Do not store open single-dose vials for later use. Discard unused portions.

• Eat smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day to help regulate blood sugar levels and promote digestion.
• Choose foods that are easy to digest, such as lean protein, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.
• Avoid foods high in fat, fibre, and sugar, as they can delay gastric emptying and exacerbate symptoms.
• Avoid heavy or greasy meals in the days leading up to surgery.
• Gradually reintroduce solid foods after surgery, starting with light, easily digestible options.
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and low-sugar fluids.
• Avoid alcohol and smoking, as they can worsen symptoms.
• Exercise regularly to improve digestion and blood sugar control.
• Avoid strong smells and odours, as they can trigger nausea and vomiting.
• Get enough rest and sleep to reduce the symptoms and promote healing.
